ANSWER: İstinye University students, academic staff, and administrative staff are natural members of the library. Library resources can be accessed both on and off campus. To borrow publications, you are required to present your İstinye University student or staff ID card.

The number of items that may be borrowed varies depending on affiliation status.
- Academic and Administrative Staff: 10 books for 30 days
- Associate and Undergraduate Students: 3 books for 15 days
- Master’s and PhD Students: 5 books for 30 days
ANSWER: Users may only carry out transactions with their own ID cards; no transactions may be made on behalf of another person. Individuals who do not have their University ID card with them may not borrow library materials.
ANSWER: Periodicals cannot be borrowed; they may only be used داخل the library.
ANSWER: If the book you have borrowed has not been placed on hold by another user, you may renew it up to three times. To renew the loan period, you must log in to your library account. Click here to access your library account.
ANSWER: If you would like to place a book on hold under your name, simply log in through the "My Library Account" section, access the detailed information page of the book you want, and click the "Place a Hold" button.
When the item(s) you placed on hold arrive at our library, a notification e-mail will be sent to your e-mail address. The publication you placed on hold will be kept on the hold shelf for 3 (three) days. If it is not borrowed within 3 (three) days, it will be returned to the library shelf.
ANSWER: The İstinye University Library Collection is organized according to the Library of Congress (LC) and National Library of Medicine (NLM) classification systems.
ANSWER: Dictionaries, atlases, encyclopedias, and almanacs are reference resources. Reference resources may be borrowed for 7 days.
ANSWER: Items found within the library are delivered to the University’s reception staff.
ANSWER: The daily fines applied to overdue materials are intended to ensure that materials are returned or renewed on time. In this way, more users can benefit from the same resource. A daily fine of 1 TL per book is charged.

ANSWER: In the event that a library material is lost or damaged, the user is responsible for notifying the library. All lost or damaged materials must be reported to kutuphane@istinye.edu.tr. For a lost book, the user is required to provide the same title or its most recent edition.
ANSWER: Students who would like to work part-time in the library may apply individually with a detailed résumé (CV) either to the Student Center (ÖMER) or via e-mail to kutuphane@istinye.edu.tr.
